Blog layouts

Your blog archive (the page that lists your posts) can use a grid or list layout. All layout settings are in the Customizer.

  • Publish a few blog posts so you can preview layout changes.
  • Open Appearance → Customize → Blog in your WordPress admin.
  1. In the Customizer, open the Blog Archive section.

  2. Under Layout, pick one:

    • Grid — posts in equal-sized cards arranged in a responsive grid.
    • List — posts in a vertical list with the featured image on the side.
  3. If you picked Grid, set the Columns to 2, 3, or 4.

The preview updates as you change settings. Click Publish to save.

Under Blog Archive, find the Sidebar option and choose:

  • Right — sidebar on the right, content on the left.
  • Left — sidebar on the left, content on the right.
  • None — full width, no sidebar.

Post cards show a preview of each post on the archive page.

  • Thumbnail ratio — choose the aspect ratio for featured images: 1:1 (square), 4:3, 16:9, or original.
  • Excerpt length — set how many words appear in the post summary.

Under Pagination, pick one:

  • Numbers — standard page-number links at the bottom.
  • Load more — a Load More button loads the next set of posts.
  • Infinite scroll — new posts load automatically as you scroll down.

The blog header appears at the top of the archive page.

  1. Open the Blog Header section in the Customizer.
  2. Turn on Enable Blog Header.
  3. Set the background image, overlay color and opacity, height, and text colors.

The preview updates as you make changes.
