Getting Started
Welcome to Milano — a multipurpose WooCommerce theme built for speed, flexibility, and ease of use. This section walks you through everything you need to do before customizing your site.
The fast path — use the setup wizard
Section titled “The fast path — use the setup wizard”The fastest way to a working Milano site is the setup wizard. It opens the moment you activate Milano and walks you through five steps:
- Enter your purchase code and accept the ThemeForest license terms.
- Install the child theme.
- Install required plugins (WooCommerce and Elementor).
- Import a demo storefront (or apply Elementor settings only).
- Confirmation screen with shortcuts to the dashboard and Customizer.
Total time: about 30 minutes. The wizard is the recommended path for most users. The wizard only opens once — to run it again, use Milano → Dashboard → License → Re-run the Setup Wizard.
The manual path
Section titled “The manual path”If you want more control, or the wizard isn’t right for your setup, follow each step by hand:
- Before you begin — check your hosting, PHP version, and download.
- Install Milano — upload and activate the theme.
- Register your purchase code — license, updates, and support.
- Install the child theme — keep your customizations safe.
- Install required plugins — WooCommerce and Elementor.
- Import a demo — start with a pre-built storefront (optional).
I skipped the wizard
Section titled “I skipped the wizard”Use the first-time setup checklist to confirm nothing is missing. It covers the same six steps as a scannable list, plus the customization tasks that come after (logo, colors, menus, shop setup).
What’s next
Section titled “What’s next”Once Milano is installed and activated, you can:
- Customize your site — change colors, typography, layouts, and more.
- Header builder — design a custom header with the drag-and-drop builder.
- Set up your shop — configure product pages, cart, and checkout.
