First-time setup checklist

Use this checklist to make sure your Milano setup is complete. Each item links to the relevant guide.

Checklist

  • Theme installed and activated — Install Milano
  • Purchase code registered — Register your purchase code
  • Child theme installed and activated — Install the child theme
  • Required plugins installed and activated — WooCommerce and Elementor. Install required plugins
  • Demo imported or building from scratch — Choose one path:
    • Import a demo — fastest way to get a working site.
    • Build from scratch — skip to the customization steps below.
  • Logo replaced — set your logo and site title under Appearance → Customize → Site Identity (guide coming soon).
  • Primary colors set — adjust brand colors under Appearance → Customize → Colors (guide coming soon).
  • Menus configured — create a menu under Appearance → Menus (guide coming soon).
  • WooCommerce set up — configure store basics under WooCommerce → Settings (guide coming soon).

What to do next

Pick your path based on how you want to build your site:

  • Start from a demo — go to Import Demo, pick a demo, and import it. Then customize it to match your brand.
  • Build from scratch — open the Customizer under Appearance → Customize and start setting your colors, typography, and layout. Then use Elementor to build your pages. (Customizer guide coming soon.)
